Not to be missed
Château de Varenne is located only a few kilometers from the famous City of the Popes – Avignon and near many cities and typical villages of the South of France. During your stay, don’t miss Palais des Papes and the bridge Saint Bénézet in Avignon. The highest ancient aqueduct bridge in world – The Pont du Gard is a wonder added with a visit to Uzés or Nîmes. The Luberon is a must with the Abbaye de Sénanque and the many provencal markets. For the more active, visit Mont Ventoux for its walks or bike rides. Explore Fontaine de Vaucluse, the Ochres du Roussillon, the classified village of Gordes, les Baux de Provence, Saint Rémy de Provence…
